Rembrandt Lighting
Rembrandt Lighting is a technique that uses one light and a reflector or two lights. To use a single light, put it a little higher than the eye level (at a 45 degree angle) of your subject and put the reflector to the side of it to create the perfect shadow. This lighting create a natural look. The final portrait should have half of the subjects face in complete lighting and another portion in a shadow, but make sure the shadow isn't a big one. This lighting style is used for portrait and head-shots.
